Delta 22-560 12 1/2" Planer
If you are looking for a great portable planer that is more than durable, the model 22-560 from Delta may be the answer. The two, 12 1/2" steel knives stay sharp without the need to constantly have them resharpened and the unit is more durable than many competing 13" planers. This is a portable planer, so if you really are looking for something that is heavy duty, you should check out the 22-580 planer from Delta, or the Dewalt DW 735 planer for something you can call a shop planer.
