HDMI and DVI Cables and Adapters
Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the A/V world. Things are a changin' already. The standard DVI (digital video) connectors used for HDTVs and receivers is already being replaced by the HDMI conntector which not only carries video signals, but audio as well. This is a great idea for people looking to keep the number of cables behind their A/V gear to a minimu, but can scare the heck out of many A/V enthusiasts who don't want to keep buying new equipment.
The Good News
The good news is that there are a number of companies, like Monster Cable, who make HDMI to DVI adapters today. These are high quality adapters that will not break the bank and allow you to connect your HDMI outputs to DVI inputs. Monster Cable pretty much makes an adapter for any situation when it comes to HDMI and DVI and here are some great deals we have found.
