GPS for Cyclists is Here
I recently read an article in Bicycling magazine about people using GPS receivers on their bikes to track their rides. Not only will GPS allow you to track your distance and speeds, but it will also allow you to get a topographical map for your ride. How cool is that? I have been wanting to share my rides here in the San Francisco, Bay Area for some time now, but have been a bit perplexed as to how I would create a map. Well, with the Garmin 201 GPS, it is no problem. You can simply download the data from your bike ride into your computer and using one of the many online mapping applications, create a topo map of your cycling route in seconds. I am pretty fired up and I have one of these bad boys on the way.

Ok, you are also going to need to cough up the extra $15 for the handlebar quick release attachment. You can go cheap-o if you want, but I am not putting a piece of foam on my bike and would rather have a quick release system. The Maillot Juane deserves a little respect. Either way, you will have GPS on your bike and you will be cooler than sliced bread.
