Garmin GPS for Bikes

Tuesday, August 16th, 2005

Looking for a GPS setup for your bike? Yeah, that is right, I asked if you want to put GPS on your bike. The fact of the matter is that GPS receivers are made small enough to wear on your wrist these days and they are cheap too. Many cycling fanatics are putting them on their bikes to track their rides and progress. The coolest part may be that you can download the data from your ride or run directly to your PC and get topographic maps from the GPS data. That is pretty darn cool. I think that everyone will have one of these on their bikes in the near future. It is just a matter of time. So, if you are like me and just read the Bicycling magazine article about GPS for bikes, you will want to spend the $130 and have one of these on your bike next week.

Big and Tall Clothing

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005

I am 6′-4″ tall and I have to say that I love being tall. But, one of the “hassles” associated with being tall and having long arms is that it can be difficult to find clothes that actually fit. Sleeve length is constantly a problem for me. It is a real bummer to have to buy expensive clothes that don’t even fit. I never really got into the whole Big and Tall scene because I envisioned these stores catering to fat people, not tall people. Well, I was mistaken. Most large clothing manufacturers (Polo, J.Crew, etc) make tall sizes now for most of their popular clothing lines. But, you will no necessarily find them offered in most mainstream stores. That is ok. You can check out some great Big and Tall Clothing from places like Dokers, Polo, Tommy Bahama and more on our Bit and Tall page.
