Dewalt DW735 Planer

Monday, December 20th, 2004

Dewalt’s first foray into the 13″ planer market is the DW735. Like the Delta 22-580, the DW735 uses 3 high speed stainless steel knives to smooth rough wood so that you would not be afraid to run your face across it. With their huge success in the cordless drill market, Dewalt felt it was time to break into the shop tool segment of the marketplace. The DW735 13″ wood planer is a fine piece of shop-grade ezuipment. I am not so sure that they have reached the level of quality that a comparable Delta unit has, but it is indeed a fine piece of equipment. For those of you who are loyal Dewalt customers and are looking for a heavy duty planer that won’t take up your whole shop, this may be your answer.

Delta 22-580 Thickness Planer

Monday, December 20th, 2004

The one you have all been waiting for, well maybe not waiting for, but it is one that you know you want. If you are in the market for a wood thickness planer, then you have surely seen the Delta 22-580 planer. It uses 13″ high speed steel knives and dual speed settings to take rough sawn lumber down to a mirror smooth finish. It is really amazing that at this price point, Delta has been able to deliver such a quality planer. If you are looking for more user reviews and writeups, visit our 22-580 page for more information.
